Description
Titanium on a variety of corrosive media such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, chlorine, bromine, as well as a variety of organic and inorganic acids have a very high resistance, far more than stainless steel and other conventional metal materials. This makes titanium sheet a suitable choice for the manufacture of chemical equipment such as reactors, heat exchangers, tanks, piping systems, etc., especially when handling highly corrosive substances such as halogenated compounds, wet chlorine gas and hypochlorite. Although titanium has a relatively high melting point, it maintains good mechanical properties and corrosion resistance in the medium temperature range (especially at room temperature up to about 450°C), making it suitable for medium, high temperature and high pressure chemical environments. Titanium plate can work stably for a long time in high-pressure systems, reducing leakage and safety accidents caused by material failure.
