Description
This titanium wire is straightened and polished. It oxidizes slowly in the air and develops a unique titanium luster. Titanium wire has a fairly high electrical resistance and is anti-allergenic. If heated, titanium dioxide is formed on its surface, which is a white pigment used as a coloring agent for food additives and is generally considered safe.
Products Description
Titanium Grade 5 has good tensile properties at ambient temperature and a useful creep resistance up to 300oC (570oF). Resistance to fatigue and crack propagation is excellent. Like most titanium alloys, Grade 5 has outstanding resistance to corrosion in most natural and many industrial process environments.
Titanium grade 5 wire or Ti-6AL-4V is an alpha-beta alloy, it is one of the most common titanium grades available on the market today. Grade 5 titanum offers excellent resistance to many oil & gas environments. The alpha-beta alloy resists a wide range of acids especially those at lower concecentrations and tempratures. Titanium offers a good ratio of low density to high strength making it the the ideal consideration for weight reduction.
