Description
Round, flat, or special shapes less than or equal to 0.1875 inches [4.8 mm] in thickness or major dimension. Zirconium wire shall be supplied in the cold-finished or cold-finished annealed condition.
Products Description
ASME SB-550 is the same as ASTM B550 and is the standard specification for zirconium and zirconium alloy bars and wire. Three grades are also available: Gr. R60702 (unalloyed zirconium), Gr. R60704 (Zr-Sn alloy), and Gr. R60705 (zirconium-niobium alloy). Zirconium rods are available in hot rolled, cold worked or hot rolled annealed condition. Bars must have a cross-sectional area equal to or less than 16 inches2 [10323 mm2]; rectangular bars must be less than or equal to 10 inches [254 mm] wide and greater than 0.1875 inches [4.8 mm] thick. Zirconium wire is round, flat, or special shapes less than or equal to 0.1875 inch [4.8 mm].
