Grade 7 titanium tubing is made from a titanium-palladium alloy and is similar to Grade 2 titanium tubing except for its palladium content. The addition of palladium makes Grade 7 the most corrosion-resistant titanium tubing on the market. GNEE is a leading supplier of Grade 7 titanium tubing. Grade 2 titanium tubing offers similar properties but is less corrosion-resistant than Grade 7. This is because Grade 2 material is commercially pure, with a tensile strength of 430 MPa and a yield strength of 330 MPa, while Grade 7 is a palladium alloy with a tensile strength of 344 MPa and a minimum yield strength of 275 MPa.
The Titanium Grade 2 Seamless Pipe is strong and it could be used as replacement for grade 7 pipes but the grade 7 seamless pipe is more corrosion resistant. The melting points of grade 2 and grade 7 are similar at 1665 degrees Celsius so that both of them could be used under high temperatures. The Titanium Alloy UNS R52400 Welded Pipe is used in systems like heat exchangers, power generators, chemical production plants, pulp and paper industries, bleaching applications and marine applications. the Titanium Gr 7 ERW Pipes are also used along with the seamless pipes. The Titanium Alloy Gr.7 Round Pipes are the most used shapes of the titanium grade 7 pipes.
