GNEE is a renowned trader and manufacturer of Grade 7 titanium tubing, which can be hot or cold formed using hydraulic presses, power brakes, drawing, or drop hammer methods. As a family, Grade 7 titanium tubing has become something of a mystery material and a nightmare to machine. Hot forming Grade 7 titanium tubing reduces springback and the required forming force, while also increasing the material's overall ductility. Experienced operators compare the properties of Grade 7 titanium tubing to those of SS 316. Rough machining of Ti Gr. 7 tubing can be performed at 900°C (1650°F), while finishing should be performed at 843°C (1550°F). These Ti Gr. 7 tubing are heated to 704°C (1300°F), held for two hours, and then air-cooled. To achieve moderate stress relief, these Grade 7 titanium tubes are heated to 482-538 degrees Celsius (900-1000 degrees Fahrenheit) for 45 minutes.

The cold work characteristics of Grade 7 Titanium Tubes are similar to that of a moderately tempered austenitic stainless steel. In multiple cold forming operations of Titanium Alloy Grade 7 Tubes, intermediate stress relief is recommended to prevent tearing or other material damage. Post-work annealing of Titanium Alloy Grade 7 Pipes is required to re-attain optimum performance characteristics. Ti Alloy Gr. 7 Pipes Tubes' outstanding corrosion resistance is due to the formation of a tightly adherent oxide film on its surface.
