Common Materials

Titanium Alloy: Features low density, lightweight, corrosion resistance, and ease of processing. It is widely used in aerospace, automotive, and electronics fields. For example, automotive engine blocks and aircraft structural components often use titanium alloy CNC castings.

Manufacturing Process

Casting: First, molds are created based on the shape and dimensions of the part. Molten metal is then poured into the molds, and after cooling and solidification, casting blanks are obtained. Common casting methods include sand casting, die casting, and precision casting. For example, die casting may be used for hardware parts with complex shapes and large batches to obtain blanks with high dimensional accuracy and good surface quality.

CNC Machining: The cast blanks are clamped onto CNC machines, and the movement trajectory of the cutting tools is controlled through pre-programmed CNC programs to perform cutting operations on the blanks. This achieves the designed dimensions, shapes, and accuracy. CNC machining can complete various processes such as milling, drilling, boring, and tapping. For instance, when machining a hardware CNC casting with complex shapes and high precision requirements, rough milling may be performed first to remove most of the excess material, followed by fine milling to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface roughness.
