Molybdenum-tungsten alloy has higher resistance to zinc leaching than pure metal molybdenum, and is used for zinc liquid temperature measurement tubes, zinc liquid pump rotors, and some corrosion-resistant parts of zinc smelting furnaces.
Description
Molybdenum-tungsten alloys are categorized as MW20, MW30 and MW50 based on tungsten content. These alloys are characterized by good performance at elevated temperatures, improved corrosion resistance and enhanced etchability. MW30 consists of 70% molybdenum and 30% tungsten.
Molybdenum has excellent creep resistance, low resistivity, high corrosion resistance, high thermal conductivity and low thermal expansion. Molybdenum-tungsten alloys (Mo-W alloys) offer excellent protection against corrosion by molten zinc and can be used at higher temperatures than alloys with molybdenum or molybdenum alloys.G can provide molybdenum-tungsten alloys (Mo-W alloys) in a variety of shapes with customized proportions of zirconium, hafnium and carbon. Standard shapes include rods, sheets, plates, and coils, and special shapes are available upon request.
