Description
AISI 4027H is an H-grade alloy steel. It is commonly known as AISI 4027H molybdenum steel. Its composition is (wt%) 0.24-0.30% carbon (C), 0.60-1.00% manganese (Mn), 0.20-0.30% molybdenum (Mo), 0.035% phosphorus (P), 0.040% sulfur (S), 0.15-0.30% silicon (Si), and base metal iron (Fe). Other names for AISI 4027H alloy steel include UNS H40270 and AISI 4027H.
Products Description
Molybdenum is a lustrous, silver-colored metal with a melting point of 2,620°C (4,748°F) and a boiling point of 5,560°C (10,040°F). Molybdenum's high strength and stiffness, and the fact that it does not soften at elevated temperatures, make it one of the highest performing metals under refractory conditions. These peak properties are enhanced by excellent thermal conductivity and low thermal expansion.
