Since titanium tends to absorb oxygen, hydrogen and nitrogen when heated, plasticity is reduced and properties deteriorate. Therefore, the heating must ensure that the furnace atmosphere is maintained in a neutral or weakly oxidizing atmosphere, and try to avoid a reducing atmosphere. Hydrogen heating is allowed. Forging, extrusion, rolling and stretching can be carried out on commonly used equipment. Heat treatment temperatures are in the range of 800-900°C. When cold working, intermediate annealing should be carried out when the cold working rate reaches a certain value (e.g. 30%-60%).
