What Is A Titanium Anode?
Jan 12, 2024
Titanium anodes are collectively known as titanium-based mixed noble metal oxide coated titanium anodes (MMO). Also known as DSA anodes. (Shape Stabilized Anode).
It uses titanium as the base material and coats the titanium substrate with a precious metal coating to give it good electrocatalytic activity and electrical conductivity.

Titanium Anode Classification:
According to the separation of gases in the anode during the electrochemical reaction, precipitation evaluation of chlorine anode, such as tantalum-based coated titanium electrode: oxidation oxidation is called precipitation of oxygen anode, such as tantalum-based coated titanium electrode and platinum electrode coating (or platinum plating).
Chlorine precipitation anode (titanium coated titanium electrode): high chlorine ion content in electrolyte: generally in hydrochloric acid environment and electrolytic seawater, electrolytic brine environment.
Oxygen precipitation anode (barium coated titanium electrode): electrolyte is generally sulfuric acid.
Platinum anode (platinum anode): titanium as base material. The surface is plated with precious metal platinum, and the thickness of the plating is generally 1-5um (micron). The mesh size of platinum mesh titanium mesh is generally 12.7×4.5mm or 6×3mm.
