3al2.5v Titanium Tubing

Compared to commercially pure titanium alloys, 3AI-2.5V (Grade 9) titanium tubing has 20 - 50% higher mechanical strength at both room and elevated temperatures. 3Al-2.5V offers excellent performance in corrosive chloride-containing environments as both a cold-worked and heat-treated titanium alloy. The alloy is used in the manufacture of hydraulic tubing for aerospace applications and high performance bicycle frames. This material has good ductility, toughness and corrosion resistance.

3AI-2.5V (Grade 9) titanium tubing has very low thermal expansion. Because of this low expansion, weldability and formability are excellent. The alloy is more ductile than Grade 5 titanium (6Al-4V). The material also has excellent resistance to pitting, crevice and erosion corrosion.
