Pure Titanium Wire

Pure titanium wire is lightweight, strong and corrosion resistant. In many cases, it is a quality alternative to aluminum.

This titanium wire is straightened and polished. It oxidizes slowly in the air and develops a unique titanium luster. Titanium wire has a fairly high electrical resistance and is anti-allergenic. If heated, titanium dioxide forms on its surface, which is a white pigment used as a coloring agent for food additives and is generally considered safe.

Titanium is very light; 1 kilogram of 0.5 mm wire is almost a mile long. It is used in medical, aerospace, aviation and marine environments.

Titanium wire does not stretch, so if you pull on it hard enough, at a certain point it will break without elongating. This may be a desired characteristic for some applications and is certainly superior in strength to aluminum wire if used for mechanical or structural reinforcement applications.
