The tungsten rhenium (W-Re) alloy electrode is a gray metal rod with a pointed tip (see photo). The size of the electrode can be customized according to customer requirements. Its composition tungsten rhenium alloy is one of the ideal materials for welding electrodes.
Compared with tungsten-thorium and tungsten-copper alloy electrode materials, tungsten rhenium alloy electrodes are more resistant to high temperatures and arc ablation, and are less radioactive than tungsten-thorium electrodes. In addition, tungsten rhenium alloy electrode has excellent electron emission ability, very suitable for surface modification.
