Products Description
Zirconium is considered very sensitive because of its use in nuclear reactors. However, Zr has a dense oxidized surface and has high corrosion resistance, as good as or better than Ti. Zirconium inherently contains about 2% Hf, which is considered harmless for most applications except in nuclear programs.Separation of Zr and Hf is quite difficult and one usually does not do it commercially.
