Description
Rhenium and molybdenum are refractory metals with good ductility and strength. Molybdenum-rhenium alloys are manufactured from standard alloys with a rhenium content of 47.5% and are used in many industrial applications. The molybdenum-rhenium alloy has the high-temperature physical properties of rhenium and the good mechanical properties of molybdenum. Molybdenum-rhenium alloys have a roll deflection of up to 90%. The addition of 47.5% or 41% rhenium greatly improves the ductility, weldability and formability. Molybdenum-rhenium alloys maintain good ductility even after high temperatures.
