Titanium Grade 12 Sheets are flat, lightweight plates made from a titanium alloy with small amounts of molybdenum (0.2–0.4%) and nickel (0.6–0.9%). These elements increase strength and give excellent resistance to crevice corrosion even in chloride-rich conditions. The sheets also retain their performance at high temperatures. With a yield strength of 380 MPa (55,100 psi) and a tensile strength of 550 MPa (79,800 psi) their mechanical strength is excellent. Additionally titanium makes up the majority of their low concentrations of oxygen (0.25% max), carbon (0.08% max), nitrogen (0.03% max), and hydrogen (0.015% max).
